Trusting Bo Sanchez

In Bo Sanchez’ best selling book “My Maid Invests in the Stock Market… And Why You Should, Too!” there was a particular excerpt that was like an LSS. “Buy your stocks anyway” even if market is high or low. This caught my eye since I was thinking “Philippine market is doing so well now, stocks are most probably high anyway. It’s not a good time to invest.” Wrong! The best time to start investing, is yesterday.

So in my first month of checking out COL Financial, I’m learning a lot. And I intend to learn more.

Dubadubadubdubssss

As the dates gets nearer, the more excited I get. I’m spending Xmas and New Years with my brother and his family. My mom is also flying to visit and we arrive roughly the same time. It’s been 2 years that I’ve seen Beau, my nephew. And of course this would be the first time I’d meet Sophia. Oh this is REALLY exciting! I’m almost done with shopping for them, but I’m still trying to find cool stuff to buy for them.

Fridays with Danna

My friend Danna is one of those friends I can have interesting conversations all throughout the night with. We can never really run out of things to talk about. Our topics can start from our daily grind and end up in dreams and passions. I’m very happy with friends like her because she really does keep me grounded. I guess it’s because I’ve known her for more than 15 years, and we’ve really seen each other grow.

Earlier, over our newly discovered interesting Turkish restaurant and equally interesting japanese coffee, we talked about our lives – mine and my constant quest for a perfect match, my blossoming career and my upcoming happenings and travels; and hers on her happiness over her married life, her wins in her business and her ultimate goal of motherhood. When I look at it, we’re actually worlds apart. And yet, it doesn’t matter. Maybe because of all my friends who got married, our chemistry never changed. I have to admit that while some friends who got married became a “them”, it became a challenge for me to relate since I am familiar with just “her”.

Anyway, that’s okay. People and relationships do change after all. I am letting go of people who are no longer aligned to what I look for, and nurture the ones who are. That is life, isn’t it?

Officially a doodle site

Hello and welcome to my new domain.  I had to make a decision to let go of “yevka.com” which unfortunately is turning out to be just a once-in-a-blue-moon blog site.  So unless I can get my intentions together, I’ll keep my public site for now.

So hello, yevkadoodles.  :) I hope that this is actually temporarily, since I have such an attachment to my yevka.com site.

Mind my French, but Fuck you

Just like the feeling of being dumped by an ex love, where victim-hood and bitterness were the ultimate battlecry, you, my friend, stripped me of all respect of you. With friends like you, who needs enemies?

Bear with me. I have my reasons for using my space to rant and to curse.

So since I’m getting old for this, ika nga nila, I refuse to dwell on hate any longer. I release you to karma and I pray for strength and acceptance that I can let go of my bitterness.

In the meantime, stay away from me…

To my girlfriends….

There’s a lot of life lessons about growing up, moving on, friendship, and life in general. I appreciate that. But today, just because, I miss the girlfriends I grew up with, shared all my secrets and dreams with, and those, who against all odds, loved me for me.

A small part of me wishes to go back to when it was “easier”, where we didn’t need to cross continents just to see each other, where it was just “us”, and our statuses were all the same. Where we didn’t encounter the “money” problems, and we were still ideally the best of friends.

Just for this moment, to all my girlfriends, I miss you and me and us, and what seems to be better days.
